Summary of Facts:
Krystal Rout was operating a vehicle south on 35th Street. She reportedly entered the intersection with Michigan Street on a green light when a vehicle operated by Edwige Badjio made a left turn in front of her vehicle and caused a collision. Rout allegedly sustained injuries back, neck and right thigh as a result of the collision. Rout filed a lawsuit against Badjio and his insurer, GEICO Casualty Company. The plaintiff contended that Badjio failed to yield for traffic, drove too fast for conditions, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to brake. She sought compensation for her personal injuries, $6,221 in medical expenses, lost wages, and attorney's fees. Badjio claimed she had the right-of-way and made the turn on a left green arrow.

A jury returned a defense verdict.

Circuit Court of Wisconsin, First Judicial District, Milwaukee County.
